キッスの4枚目のスタジオ・アルバム。
邦題は「地獄の軍団」。
これまでのシンプルなロックンロールから脱却し、多重録音、オーケストラの導入、多彩なサウンド・エフェクツを導入し重厚なアルバムに仕上がっている。
このアルバムでは、殆どの曲作りにプロデューサーのボブ・エブリンが関わっていてデトロイトのギターソロもプレイしている。
このアルバムをキッスのベストに挙げる人も多いと思う。
私もベストの1枚だと思う。
今でもライヴでの定番曲を多数収録している。
しかし何度も聴いているとオープニングのSEが邪魔になってくる。
故に普段このアルバムを聴く機会は余りない。
